Paul Betancourt is Managing Partner of VF Farms, his family farming operation based in Kerman, CA. Recent crops grown on VF Farms include cotton, Pima cotton, almonds, processing tomatoes, barley, sugar beets, cantaloupes, garbanzo and black eyed peas. In addition to his responsibilities as ranch manager, Paul writes a monthly column on agriculture and urban issues for the Fresno Business Journal. Paul’s community involvement is extensive, including board roles with Kerman Unified School District, the Fresno County Farm Bureau, Kerman Community Food Bank, Valley Clean Air, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, Central Valley Regional Water Board, and more. He is on the faculty of University of Phoenix, College of Arts and Sciences. Paul received a BA in Religious Studies from Westmont College, a BA in Agricultural Business from Fresno State University, and an MA in International Relations at Fresno State University. He is also a graduate of the California Agriculture Leadership Program (Class XXV).
