For 75 years, Fresno Housing Authority has changed the lives of tens of thousands of families throughout the county, by providing housing and programs that encourage people to succeed and to engage with their neighborhoods. While Fresno Housing develops homes for low-income people and connects low-income people to existing housing in the county through vouchers, it views housing as more than “shelter.” By developing and supporting programs that encourage participants to access education, to obtain well-paying employment, and to improve health conditions, Fresno Housing expands the traditional definition of “housing” and seeks to fundamentally improve the quality of life for all residents of Fresno County.
Healing body, mind and spirit has been Saint Agnes Medical Center's mission for more than eight decades. These values were first inspired by the Sisters of the Holy Cross who, with a staff of 32, opened the original 75-bed Saint Agnes Hospital in 1929. We answered the Valley's need for expanded health services with our move north in 1975, and have since evolved into a 436-bed, state-of-the-art Medical Center campus – bringing together the most advanced equipment and facilities, and the expertise of top-ranked physicians and staff.
