Fresno County Summer Arts Academy

The inaugural year of the Fresno County Summer Arts Academy (FCSAA) was spectacular!

The inaugural year of the Fresno County Summer Arts Academy (FCSAA) was spectacular! FCSAA is a four-week summer arts program open to students in Fresno County that provided a wonderful opportunity, at no cost, for students to develop their artistic skills in the following courses: Acting, Concert Band, Film Production, Jazz Band, Rock Band, and Stagecraft.  The Foundation @ FCOE was proud to support this dual-enrollment program in conjunction with Fresno City College and Bonner Family Foundation.  Program participants also received certification in Teen Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.  With this certification, students are better-prepared and informed on how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among their friends and peers. As part of the training, school psychologists were available on campus for mental health support.  The FCSAA culminated with an evening of showcases that were inspiring, uplifting, and fun for families and the community!
